The last one-horned rhino census was conducted around March 25 to March 28 at Kaziranga National Park Tiger Reserve. Currently, the one-horned rhino census is around 2613. In the last Rhino census in 2018 the calculation was around 2413.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The result of the recent census has revealed the increase in the population of one-horned Rhino by 200 in 4 years. The graph shows the success in reducing Rhino poaching by making Chinese medicine. According to the latest data, the Assam Government is succeeding in protecting the one-horned rhinos, whose population is on the rise. The impressive growth in the census of rhinos is commendable. \u201cIt is also saying that it will be maintained further under the guidance of CM of Assam Hemanta Biswa Sarma,\u201d said Assam forest minister Parimal Suklabaidya in his recent tweet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The increasing number of rhinos is stating the excellent condition of Kaziranga National Park<\/a>. This time the census record has been done elaborately in Kaziranga. \u201cThe increased census of rhino is showing the great efforts not just at present but the work done over the last 30 to 40 years ago,\u201d said Rathin Barman, joint director, Wildlife Trust of India (WTI). He is the one who was present in 7 rhino censuses in Kaziranga till now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
