Birdlife International has outlined the major portion of the park as Important Birding Area (IBA) for conservation of avifaunal species. Some of the other rarely found animals and species that can be seen here like Civet cats, Swamp Deer, Hoolock Gibbons, Tigers etc. The vast topography of the Jungle is covered with deciduous forest, plush flora that includes tall elephant grass, dense tropical moist broad leaf forests and marshland. Travel Guidelines/ Important Information:-

  • The park is divided into four zones, namely Central, Eastern, Western and Ghorakati range but only three routes are open for visitors
  • All the entry formalities need to be processed at the main entry gate (Kohora, Bagori and Agaratoli )
  • Above mentioned places is the entry point for Morning and Afternoon safaris
  • The park charges entry fee Rs. 100/- (Per Indian Individual) & Rs. 600/- (Foreigners)
  • The safari is conducted by the forest department in two different shifts
  • Morning Jeep Safari timing is 07:00 AM to 09:30 AM. Afternoon Jeep safari from 01:30 PM to 02:45 PM.
  • The park timing is 07:30 AM to 4.00 PM
