The Kaziranga national park is located in the Northeastern part of Indian Territory. It is a most acclaimed tourist destination for the varied wildlife that is the natural habitat of this national reserve forest.

The wildlife sanctuary is blessed with several lush green trees and also there are many shrubs and herbs plants found here. Apart from these various avian species are also spotted here some of which can be named as Red Jungle fowl, Kalij Pheasant, Red Breasted Parakeet, Spotted dove and the Drongo Cuckoo.

Climatic Conditions Of Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary

The weather in Jorhat is generally pleasant with temperature oscillating between 15 to 28 degrees Celsius during the summer season and approx 18 degree Celsius in the winter seasons. Jorhat receives heavy rainfall in the monsoon season – July to September. Heavy rain makes the park inaccessible.

Fauna Found In The Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary

Although Hollongapar is sprawl over short span of area but hosts several wildlife species. Approx seven to eight species of primates together with other mammals, birds and reptiles found here. List of mammals can be named as western hoolock gibbon, Bengal slow Ioris, Eastern Assamese Macaque, Indian Rhesus Macaque, Tiger, Indian Elephant, Indian Fox, Jackal, wild boar and many more. Reptiles list includes Rock Python, Snake, Cobra and Common Rat Snake.

Flora Found In The Hollongapar Gibbon Sanctuary

Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary is an abode of several hundred species of plants, herbs, shrubs and trees that are scattered in the entire expanse of forest area. The most presiding plant species found here are hoolong trees. Some other prominent species available here are Amari, Dewa Sam, Himolu, Garjan etc.

    Day 1 - Guwahati – Kaziranga National Park (220 Kilometer / 05 Hrs drive)

    Once you arrive at Guwahati airport meet and greet by our office representative and leave for UNESCO World Heritage site and Rhino’s wonderland – Kaziranga National Park. The park is known all across the globe for one-horned Rhinoceros. It is located on the banks of mighty river Brahmmaputra. It covers approximately 430 square kilometer with its swamps and tall thickets of tall elephant grass. On arrival complete the check-in formalities into the wildlife resort. Now rest of the day is free to relax. Enjoy overnight stay at resort.

    Day 2 - Enjoy Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park

    Today we will go deep into the Jungle of Kazirnaga National Park and enjoy a complete day of Jeep/Elephant Safari at Kazirnaga. Our office executive will take you to the jeep riding point. Roaming through tall grass in the lovely morning is an awesome experience that you won’t forget easily. Jeep or elephant safari is the best mean for watching wildlife as they are not afraid themselves and we can catch them closely. Later return to the resort for overnight stay.

    Day 3 - Kaziranga – Jorhat

    After taking morning breakfast we will head towards Jorhat. Upon arrival complete check-in formalities at the hotel. In the evening you may go for an excursion to the sanctuary for Hoolock Gibbons. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 4 - Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary

    Get up bit early in the morning and get ready to explore the unique wildlife sanctuary as it hosts India’s only nocturnal primate – the Hoolock Gibbon. The wildlife sanctuary is blessed with several lush green trees and also there are many shrubs and herbs plants found here. Apart from these various avian species are also spotted here some of which can be named as Red Jungle fowl, Kalij Pheasant, Red Breasted Parakeet, Spotted dove and the Drongo Cuckoo.

    Day 5 - Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary

    After taking breakfast complete the check-out formalities and depart for Guwahati. Upon arrival, transfer to Guwahati airport for onward destination.
